Tonight I finally got around to re-basing some of my FoW miniatures. I realized I needed to do this since in the last couple of battles I had to proxy some of my FJ as PG! Enough of that silliness! So yes, now I have a proper three platoons worth of panzergrenadiers.
While I was at it I also prepped my Nebs and Mortar platoons for final flocking. These and a couple extra PG command teams and I should be ready to finish off the bases with proper spackling and flocking.
I hope to get some more battles in soon; perhaps even this week. Being busy with school and playing L'Art de la Guerre (ancients) has kept me pretty much away from my FoW. Hopefully that will change shortly.

Crossfire Action... and the Tabletop Commanders
In preparation for a Crossfire battle I will be hosting this weekend for the Tabletop Commanders, I have managed to get in a few games this past weekend. Great set of rules if you are looking for a realistic, fast-paced game focused on infantry in WW II. Battles start and flow very realistically - players really feel like commanders in a battle.
These rules came about in the late 90's, and are still available in printed format - On Military Matters carries them here in the U.S. Perfect for company and battalion level battles where infantry are the focus - tanks, off-board artillery, and vehicles are also catered for. I should have more reports and pics up using this set of rules soon in the future. However, there will be a LIVE YouTube event this weekend as well. OI will be sure to post the link around that time so you can have a watch. Otherwise, keep tabs on my YouTube channel.
If you are interested in watching some of the LIVE events we have done with the Tabletop Commanders group, check out the YouTube playlist at the link below:

DBA & L'Art de la Guerre with the Tabletop Commanders!
Had an enjoyable day a couple weeks back with the online wargaming group, The Tabletop Commanders. We managed to get in a couple battles featuring the Gauls and Polybian Romans (my favorites). We had three player's in all - not including myself. I managed to pull off a win with my ancient Gauls. Pretty fun battle really. I was able to break through the left flank of the Roman battle line with a powerful (and lucky) charge.
In addition, last week saw up having a go with the L'Art de la Guerre rules as well. I again played in this one - I was the host. I managed a victory once again, although this time I won with the Seleucids v. the army of Gaul. Very fun.
Both sessions above were LIVE on Google Hangouts of course. If you want to watch the events, check out the Tabletop Commanders Playlist below. The playlist is updated soon after each event..

If you have yet to play on-line, I highly recommend giving it a try. All you need is Google Hangouts, a webcam - if you want to host a game - and you are all set. If interested in joining up, contact me.
